Licensing status

Wurster is currently a pre-1.0 development project. The source tree is not presently published under an open-source license. Unless a file explicitly says otherwise, the current pre-1.0 source remains all rights reserved.

The intended direction for the final 1.0 release is a permissive open-source license. MIT is the current candidate, but the final license is not established until an actual LICENSE file is published with the 1.0 source.

This distinction is deliberate: public documentation and binaries do not themselves grant permission to copy, redistribute or commercially relicense the current development source.

The project name is Wurster, the application/container format is Wurst, and the official project domain is wrst.io. WRST.IO is a project website and trust service, not a representation that a company, association or other incorporated entity exists behind the project.
